LOWER TRESTLES

2019

They say that glassy, eight-foot Lower Trestles is the world’s best high-performance wave. The world’s best longboarders agree.

LONGBOARDING

AT LOWERS

Two perfect days in Lowers with endless glassy sets and non-stop overlapping heats.

It’s been a long time since the water was cleared for a longboard competition at Lower Trestles, but for the Relik Longboard World Tour the bar only has one rung. And man, they set it high.

Even the Relik crew couldn't have predicted the incredible run of luck enjoyed by the 2018 Lower Trestles event, which saw some of the summer’s best conditions coincide perfectly with the contest waiting period. Hot, glassy conditions greeted a strong, six-to eight-foot south swell peaking in fine form over the cobblestone reef/point, offering long right walls and bowling lefts to both progressive and traditional longboarders.

They didn’t disappoint, with both men and women’s competitors putting on an absolute clinic, showing what happens when you cut the world’s best longboarders loose in one of the world’s best waves. Score this contest a perfect 10.
